Summer alternative to KKH

This is the alternate, seasonal route into Gilgit-Baltistan via Naran in the Kaghan Valley, crossing Babusar Top (around 4,170 meters) before descending into Chilas. It offers some of the most scenic high-altitude views in the region but is only usable from roughly May/June to October, closing completely with the first heavy snowfall. Babusar Top itself can be affected by fog, snow, or landslides even within the open season, so this route requires more careful planning than the main KKH. It's a popular choice for travelers wanting to combine a Kaghan Valley visit with their journey into Gilgit-Baltistan.
