Astore → Rama meadows

This short route connects Astore town to Rama Lake and the surrounding meadows, offering some of the closest accessible views of Nanga Parbat's Rupal face. The drive from Astore takes approximately 30-45 minutes on a mostly jeep-track road. Access is generally reliable from late spring through early autumn, with winter snow restricting the route. This is a popular half-day excursion for travelers based in Astore, often combined with a visit to Rama Meadows itself.
