Jaglot–Skardu Road Reopened on 28 July After Temporary Bridge Restoration at Sassi Haramosh

The Jaglot–Skardu Road (JSR) has officially reopened for all types of traffic on 28 July following the successful completion of restoration work on the temporary bridge at Sassi Haramosh, according to the Gilgit-Baltistan Police.

The temporary bridge was rebuilt after earlier damage disrupted traffic on one of the main routes connecting Gilgit and Skardu. With restoration work now complete, the road has been reopened, restoring connectivity for residents, tourists, transporters, and other travelers.

Traffic Flow Being Monitored

Senior officers and personnel of the Gilgit-Baltistan Police have been deployed at both ends of the temporary bridge to regulate traffic and ensure the safe and smooth movement of vehicles across the restored section.

Motorists are requested to cooperate with traffic officials and follow all instructions while crossing the bridge.
